Heather Cassidy, PsyD

I’m a clinical psychologist specializing in understanding relationships, both with yourself and with others. I graduated from a psychology doctoral program in 2004 and have worked at psychiatric and health rehabilitation hospitals, community mental health center, and long term care facilities, treating adolescents, adults and seniors. I have had a full- time private practice for over 13 years. My training is psychodynamic, which focuses on understanding how you are feeling and making connections between your past and present. The people I work with tend to struggle with internally, such as mood disorders, relationship issues, loneliness, low self-esteem, and difficulty managing strong feelings. I am interested in helping you figure out how to manage your symptoms, but also wondering how and why they have developed in your life. In our first meeting, we will try to understand why you are looking for therapy now and what your personal and therapeutic goals are.
